186. Everything at once

Blazer:  Charity Shop
Blouse:  New Look (old)

Boots:  New Look

Hello lovelies!

This is my outfit for today, feeling very festive with the red. I bought this blazer in Farnham on Wednesday when I was visiting my boyfriend. I saw it on the rail and instantly fell in love with the colour and pattern but it looked massive! I couldn't resist trying it on anyway and then I fell into an even deeper love! Ha! Sooo I bought it, and with a bit taken in at the sides and arms and the shoulders raised here it is! It is still over-sized but I really like that with vintage clothes so I'm happy with the way it looks :) What do you think?

Also, I will be posting about my latest giveaway tomorrow evening, as promiced, to celebrate Silent Sweetheart reaching over 300 followers so keep an eye out for that!

Evening all!

Sorry for the late post, my internet has been playing up over the last few days but I finally managed to upload a post! I went charity shopping in Farnham yesterday with my boyfriend and bought this lovely blouse with the gorgeous embroidered collar. Now, anyone who knows me, especially you Paige, will know that I have many, many blouses in all different colours and collar styles and I said I wouldn't buy any more, but this one just stole my heart (Ha!) and for a large it's actually not too oversized and baggy which I love. Plus I figured I could wear it underneath jumpers and dresses as it's quite thin so it's easy to layer. So that is what I did today and layered it with my floral dress from Urban Outfitters alongside my trusty chelsea boots.

As you may know from my last post I haven't had the best of weeks, however seeing my boyfriend yesterday really cheered me up and made me relax and de-stress - plus the retail therapy which always helps! I also saw my lovely friend, Charlie, who helped me out a huge amount with my uni work and just generally getting me excited and motivated about my work. I don't know what it is about her but she just has a way of inspiring you and pulls out all of these fantastic ideas! She has recently started working at a place called Grand Cafe in Southampton, where I live, and it is gorgeous inside! We have made a few plans to benefit both of us which I will share with you tomorrow along with some images of the gorgeous interior so look out for that!

I hope you've all had a lovely day!

184. Treading Water

Blouse:  New Look
Collar Clips:  DIY/Self Made
Belt:  Vintage
Skirt:  DIY/Self Made
Boots:  New Look

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick one today as I am not having the best of days, or weeks for that matter! Having said that I am now sat in my boyfriend's bed, in my pj's, sipping a hot chocolate with whip-cream in my new Cath Kidston mug, so that has definitely cheered me up! Plus I had a lovely chat on the phone with one of my close friends giving me a confidence boost so that really helped, so I guess things are slightly looking up! Haha It's always the little things from your loved ones that make you feel better isn't it? :)

Anyway, today I wanted to wear a skirt as I feel like I haven't worn one in forever for some reason. I picked out this little burgundy number and paired it with my red and blue printed blouse and vintage red plait belt to tie it all in, whacked on my trusty chelsea boots and I was good to go! I have literally worn these boots 24/7 recently as they are just so, so comfy and make me that little bit taller ;) I think me and 3 of my friends at work all have these boots and cannot praise them enough, so if you're looking for a comfy but stylish pair of boots then head over to New Look on this link to get them. Plus they are only £27.99 which is really good for a decent pair of boots!

Ok so my 'quick one today' hasn't really been very quick at all.. Haha So I'll stop rambling now. I hope you're week has been better than mine so far! Oh and one more thing, thanks to all you lovely people I have now reached 303 followers on my blog! So thank you so, so much it really does mean a lot to me! I will be holding a giveaway by the end of the week so look out for that. And lastly, since you lot and everyone at home thinks I should get a fringe cut in I am going to bite the bullet and do it! Thanks for all your feedback :)

183. Life is full of wonder

Hello! How are you all today? This is what I wore to uni today. I have been wearing my 'fake fringe' today as I am undecided whether to get a real fringe cut in or not. I used to have one a few years ago but it only lasted a few days before I pushed it back and out of the way just because it annoyed me so much! But lately I have been feeling like my hair needs something as I feel it's looking a bit boring and I bought this fake fringe from ebay a little while ago so I thought I would wear it for a week or so and if it doesn't annoy me I'll get a real one cut in. Lots of people already from Twitter and Instagram have said that I should get a real one cut in and I am very tempted! What do you think? (More images below). I have also had a little change of scenery for my outfit post today, what do you think? I do love the simple brick wall but I fancied something a little different today. Let me know your thoughts and I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

P.S - I am only 12 followers away from 300 inwhich I will hold a giveaway for all you lovelies! So please spread the word!! Thanks xx

Sugarhill Boutique SS13 Press Day

Good evening! Yesterday I was up in London again with my lovely friend, Victoria, viewing Sugarhill Boutique's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. It was set in a bowling alley to go with the theme of some of the prints that they have used in the collection which I thought was really fun, and they also had a photobooth which was a laugh too.

The collection itself was displayed on three separate rails to fit each theme inside the collection, one of which was monochrome, the other had a sailor feel to it and the last one was more 'ice-cream sundea's' - I'm not sure how else to describe it! Haha Anyway, the whole experience was great and the ladies are so lovely and even remembered us from the A/W 2012 viewing which was really lovely.

So anyway, I thought I would show some of the collection and the lovely prints, as that is what Sugarhill Boutique is known for, but not give too much away at the same time. I hope you enjoy them! They have some really fab stuff coming out and I want to buy it all!!

The images aren't great so I do appologise. My DSLR has decided to pack up but I will be buying a new one next week once I have been paid. Very excited! So what do you think of the prints? There is such a great variety, there's something for everyone! Oh and one last thing, I did take some video's of the collection too but I'm not sure how they turned out so there may be another post on this with a little video :)

Motel Rocks Blogger Event

Hello lovelies! As you may or may not have seen, Motel Rocks held a bloggers event on Monday evening at Floripa in London. and I went along with my lovely friend, Charlotte. It was actually the first proper blogger event that I have been to and it was really lovely to see people who's blogs you follow in the flesh. I was very nervous at first as I am quite a shy person when I first meet people, especially people who I admire! But once I got talking to people and the free cocktails flowed it became a lot easier and really fun! I met some lovely ladies, Jessie from Copper Garden, Amy from Amy Valentine, Francesca from On The Bias, Stacey from Pretty Delicate Layers, Lyzi from Being Little and I got to meet the lovely Chelsea from Chelsea Jade Loves again! I hope to go to more events and see these lovely ladies again and also meet more bloggers!!

Firmoo Glasses Review

Morning all! A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by a company called Firmoo who sell glasses asking if I would like to try out the brand and review on my blog. I have been looking for the perfect 'fashion geek glasses' for so, so long now and I haven't been able to find the right pair anywhere, and the problem with buying online is that you never know if they are going to really suit you or not. Here is a little about the company:

The old opinion that glasses are only necessities for people with vision problems has already gone. Glasses are increasingly becoming a fad and must-have accessories for celebs and fashionistas. Everyday we can spot millions of non prescription glasses wearers and we are constantly fascinated by many noted film stars’ signature non prescription glasses. They instantly upgrade your look of modern, sexy, vintage or geek by wearing different styles of frames.
Any hot glasses/sunglasses /goggles frames you want can be found on Firmoo, and all are available for both prescription lenses and non-prescription lenses. Are you desperate to have a new look? Now here is the chance, Firmoo has launched a First Pair Free Program to people worldwide. You will absolutely fall in love with the excellent quality, affordable prices, fashionable designs, fast delivery and the good service after trying them with paying shipping only! You even can get a refund/exchange if you are not satisfied with them. It's totally Risk free, so why not have a try?

I went onto firmoo.com and checked out their range of glasses and was pleasantly surpised at how many different styles and shape frames that they have and just how easy it was to browse the website. You can choose exactly what shape and size you want your glasses to be and it will come up with the results. You can also upload an image of yourself and choose a pair of glasses that it will place on your photo to give you an idea of how they will look on you. I found this really handy as, like I said before, you never know how they are going to look when you order online.

The glasses above are the pair that I chose. I wanted a proper geek pair and went for quite large frames. Eventhough Firmoo sent these to me for free, the price range is very reasonable. This pair are $21.00 on the website and you can find them here. The good thing about Firmoo is that you can choose your lenses, so you can type in your prescription details or you can choose the option to have normal lenses for fashion or costume etc.

The glasses come in a lovely plastic case with a cloth and they also come with a leather pouch and a screw driver type device to tighten you glasses if they become loose. Overall I am really happy with the service from Firmoo because the glasses were delivered quite quickly and I love that they come with a screwdriver and two cases. Plus, the first time you shop at Firmoo you can grab yourself a free pair of glasses, which is perfect for when you're not sure about the shape or style etc, so check it out here!

Thursday's Haul

Morning all! This is a scheduled post as I had two posts yesterday and I thought three might be a bit overwhelming, especially with all the imagery going on. So, I went shopping with my Mum on Thursday and bought all of these lovely things below, mainly make up which is a tad unusual because the majority of my money usually goes towards new clothes. However, lately I have been reading many beauty blogs and watching a lot of beauty Youtube video's and I have suddenly become a bit of a beauty addict.. :/ I feel like a bit of a late bloomer! I have always loved make up but I never really experiment much. So anyway, I bought a few bits and pieces of make up, some of which have been recommended by beauty bloggers and a pair of 'blue suede shoes' (boots) which I just fell in love with for some reason. Although I have to say, I am usually a size 3/4 but I had to buy these in a 5 as they were a bit tight. But anyway, I'll let the imagery do the rest of the talking so you don't have to listen to me ramble any more!!

Ok, so I wasn't originally going to spend £9.50 on an eyeliner, I wouldn't usually do that, but after watching Zoella talk about them on Youtube I thought I would see just how good they really are. I did a sample on my hand and it applied like a dream, however the price was still putting me off, so I walked away and shopped elsewhere, went to rub off the eyeliner and it did not budge! It was staying there unless I wacked out a face wipe, and that is what sold it for me. The fact is it so creamy and literally silky, AND stays on all day! I'd say it's worth the money. And as for the body butter, well, you just go and smell it and you will understand. It smells AMAZING! And I have a terrible sense of smell!! I applied it after showering last night and it sinks into your skin beautifully and every now and then you catch the smell and it's pretty dreamy.. I'm sure you all think I'm a bit of a weirdo now but just go and smell it and you'll see where I'm coming from. You can also buy it in 50ml or 1000ml tubs :)

So yeah, that is what I spent my money on on Thursday, plus a few Christmas presents. How is your Christmas shopping going? Feeling festive or is it too early? I am dreading the Christmas songs at work...they'll be great at first but playing Mcfly's Christmas song 6 times in 4 hours is a bit much. Anyone working in New Look will feel my pain! Infact, I may be suffering as you're reading this seeing as it's a scheduled post, ha! Happy Friday Saturday!
