REVIEW | Simple Kind to Eyes Nourishing Eye Make-up Remover Cream

Evening all!

As you may, or may not know, this will be my first beauty product review off of my own back. No company has asked me to review this I just thought I would give it a go as I felt like I wanted to share my experience with you all. As I am new to this it may not be up to review standards so bare with me please!

I have always just used plain old face wipes to take my make-up off and clean my face with until I started to read beauty blogs as well as fashion blogs and realised that face wipes were doing nothing for my skin and no wonder I was still getting spots! I decided to scrap the face wipes and sort out my skin by using actual products to clean my face with, and where better to start than with Simple.

I spoke to my Mum to get some advice on where to start because, as I said, this was all really new to me! She advised me to use the Simple cleanser and toner and to try out the eye make-up remover as well. So I did.

I saw that Simple did two types of eye make-up remover, a cream and a liquid. I decided to go for the cream (as shown above) because I figured it would feel a lot nicer on my eyes and also nourish them, as it says on the bottle. I did like this product as it wasn't as harsh on my eyes as I would imagine eye creams would be considering I have only used face wipes in the past. The cream was good at taking off my make-up, it didn't take too much to remove all of my eye make-up, however it wasn't so keen on removing my gel eye-liner and I would often have to leave parts of it on and try again in the morning as my eyes would start to hurt from rubbing so much!

However, the one thing that really put me off this particular eye make-up remover cream was the fact that it did not nourish my eyes, it infact really dried them out and my eyes became irritatied from being so dry after use. A couple of times I had to use eye-drops after using the cream so that my eyes weren't so dry before going to bed.

I had really high hopes for this product and felt I was let down. I would say that it does remove your make-up to an extent, however unfortunately, for me, it really dried out my eyes therefore I will not be buying this product again. I have stuck with Simple and have now bought the liquid version (which is the make-up remover my Mum was really suggesting in the first place, not the cream!) so I will keep you all updated on that!

I hope you have liked this review and found it some-what useful. Sorry for being a bit negative about my first review, but hey, you've got to be honest, right?

Have you used this product before? Did you find the same issue's or are my eyes just weird?

Sunday Summary #4

Hello my lovelies!

Today's Sunday Summary will not be one full of my contant moaning and ranting as I have had a really good week! (Horray!) This week I handed in all of my uni work for semester 1 and got straight into my new project, which may I add will be my last project at univeristy ever!! I have been very busy researching and thinking of photo shoot idea's and all sorts which is really exciting. Tonight I will be designing some outfits and coming up with a few initial designs hopefully.

I have also spent a lot of time with my boyfriend which has been lovely as I don't get to see him often due to us both being at univeristy, so this week it has been really nice for us both to have some down time and chill out together :)

I have also found my way (and my head) and realised I have been neglecting my blog, which I hate doing, so from now on I will make time for my blog - even if it is just once a week filling you in on my hectic lifestyle! I'm not sure if there will be many outfit posts unfortunately as I never have the time whilst it's still light. However I may be cheeky and ask my friend to take a few every now and then.

One more thing, I really wanted to jump on the ban-wagon and join in on the '50 facts about me' You Tube video's and I have filmed it and everything but it won't save! I am so, so gutted as I know the hype will be over soon but hopefully I can get it sorted soon. For now though, please check out my channel and thumbs up my video's and support me :) Thank you so much!

Here are a few images from my Instagram of what I have been up too:

A gift from a friend

Hello beauties!

I received a rather fitting gift in the post the other day from my wonderful friend, Paige. There is a reason as to why it is so fitting so I shall fill you in before I ramble on about how pretty and sweet it is!

A few weeks ago me and Paige popped into Haskins while my boyfriend and his brother went to Hobby Craft. We were browsing around when we found the most beautiful glass jewellery sets which had real little flowers in ranging from poppies to forget-me-not's. We both found bracelets which we adored but when looking at the price we realised there was no way we could buy them, much to our disappointment. The bracelet that I wanted was a row of glass hearts filled with forget-me-not flowers. I told Paige how these particular flowers remind me of my Nan and Grandad due to a particular childhood memory, and there we go, the little sweetie remembered and bought me this pretty little brooch. I nearly cried when I saw what was inside the cute little red box. Paige also has one that says 'Remember me' as you may have seen on her blog.

Such a sweet and unexpected gift from an amazing friend, and just what I needed to cheer me up from the stresses of uni.

Sunday Summary #3 (Two days late!)

Hey peoples!

Today's Sunday Summery is a tad late as you can tell. This is due to no internet access (or lack of it) for the past 3 days, however now that I am at my boyfriends I though I had better get this blog post in quick!

I have had such a busy week as I know I keep saying lately, however anyone in their third year of univrsity will understand the stress and pressure from it all (and not to mention no bloomin' internet!!). My hand-in was supposed to be last Friday until the snow settled on Thursday night and I couldn't get into uni as I commute quite a way every day. This was in fact some kind of mirical because I ended up getting an extra two days to finish off any last little bits and bobs before the new hand-in on Monday. I managed to get everything in on time so now I just have to sit and wait...

In the meantime they have given me my Final Major Project breif and I have to get started straight away, there is no time to chill in third year *humph* so I have been getting on with that today and yesterday afternoon.

Now for my rant about my internet and You Tube. I have a video which I filmed last week and due to the internet being down I wasn't able to upload it, and when the internet did decide to work for a little while I uploaded the video to 62% before realising I was uploading it onto my old channel. I decided today since I was at my boyfriends I could use his internet and take the opportunity to upload it. It got to 80% and then I got told I was mucking up the internet so I had to stop...to say I feel like crying, well. It's like this video is not meant to be uploaded, and yet I really want to put it up as it's a haul video! Oh well, I guess I'll try again tomorrow night when I'm home and the internet will hopefully be back on. Wish me luck guys!!

Sorry for my moany ramblings, my summaries won't always be like this I promice!

Sunday Summary #2

Hello lovelies,

Second post of today which has been unheard of in a long time but I didn't want to put the two in one post. Sorry for the lack of posting, I had a deadline last Thursday and have another one this Friday and still have a ton of things to do (wish me luck!!). I have actually been feeling very down recently as my previous project I couldn't get into and I kept faffing around hoping that my inspiration would come and now it's too late it's all due on Friday. Hmph. I was really hoping to finish uni with a good grade and now I feel like I have let myself down. I still have my final collection to come so I'm going to make every second count, and this time I mean that! I have learnt my lesson and suffered so much. However it still doesn't change the fact that I won't finish with the grade I want to. *Sigh* I guess all I can do is my best and keep my fingers crossed, right?

In other news I will be starting my work experience on from the 21st for five days at I Heart Studio's in London. I am really looking forward to it but also terribly nervous. I am, and always have been, a really shy person when you first meet me and I always feel a little awkward. I'm sure after an hour or so I'll be fine but it is quite daunting. I'm also scared of being late! I will be living in Farnham with my boyfriend for the week and travelling up by train every day but because I haven't done a trial run (stupidly) and I have to be there at 9:15am, I am quite worried about rush hour etc. Gosh, I'm worried and stressing about everything at the moment!

To tell you guys the truth, I'm kind of looking foward to finishing uni and actually being fully happy and myself again. Sometimes I feel like I have lost my way and I am always stressed, tired or worried about something. Having this constant feeling for the three years that I have nearly been at uni is finally taking its tole and I just cannot wait for it to all be over. I'm not saying I won't be a little stressed; god knows finding a job will be tough, but I see how happy my friend is since she left uni last year and I just cannot wait to feel that way again, you know?

Sorry for my horribly rambly rant today, not a great post for a Sunday evening, but hey these posts are about my previous week and how I have been feeling and this is exactly it. I hope you have all had a better week than I have, and I hope this hasn't put off any of you guys thinking about going to university either! It is such an amazing time in your life and you learn so, so much. I don't regret going to uni at all, just to make that clear :) I'm just having a good old rant!

Hello beauties,

Above is today's outfit. I bought the top and the skirt yesterday from work, luckily there was one more of these skirts left and although it was a bit big I bought it anyway and just took it in this morning for a better fit. I just love it so much. The floral print is gorgeous and the colours just work so well together. To show it off I just paired it with a plain black t-shirt, a gold chain necklace and my lovely new earrings which you can see below.

I also filmed a little video this morning of my outfit which you can watch below so please take a look! And I want to say a special big thank you to my friend's cousin, Hanna West for letting me use her music. She has such a beautiful voice so please check out her Sound Cloud page and show your support!

Hello lovelies,

This is what I wore yesterday. My internet seems to be playing up so I cannot upload my look to Lookbook right now and the images on here are a little smaller than usual, however I will sort it all out once my internet gets itself back to normal.

Anyway, I had a lovely day filming You Tube video's with my gorgeous friend Paige yesterday. My video took such a long time to upload that I left it on over night and now it is finally up and running! You can take a look here and I have linked to Paige's channel too. About is what I was wearing, I hope you like it :)
